Australia's national flag carrier, Qantas Airways, more generally known as "Qantas" has today confirmed and announcing the signing of their tenth service to ASJE International Airport.
Utilising a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, Qantas is opening new service by including ASJEIAL as a stopover in their second "Project Sunrise" service on ASJEIAL's passenger route network. Departing Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport bound for London-Victoria, this service will transit through ASJE International Airport and Darwin, Australia as additional stopover points.
With this new service, Qantas become the second airline to notch up ten passenger service to and from ASJE International Airport behind Singapore Airlines, reaffirming then as one of the airport's major hub airlines. It's also the fourth service of Qantas utilising a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, as well as the third service linking ASJEIAL with one of ASJEIAL's connection partners, London-Victoria Airport, reinstating the partnership between the two airports.
