Today at ASJE International Airport, we're glad to announce the acquisition of a second Boeing 747-400that once operated for Singaporean flag carrier, Singapore Airlines, as part of our ASJE Commercial Heritage Museum (ACHM) program.
9V-SMZ was delivered to Singapore Airlines brand new on May 27, 1994, as the 1,030th Boeing 747 to roll off the production line at Everett Paine Field and was retired on April 15, 2008 after almost 14 years of service. This airframe was also painted into their 50th Anniversary 1947-1997 special livery between May 1997 and September 1999.
The acquisition of this 26-year-old aircraft is a great triumph for our ACHM program, as the Boeing 747-400 fleet played a vital role for Singapore Airlines' passenger operations between 1989 and 2012.
Authorities are working on when the aircraft will be in our hands and part of our ACHM program. Updates on this will be released to the public as soon as they come to hand.
