ICELANDAIR CLOSES ASJEIAL OPERATIONS!

Keflavik-based flag carrier airline of Iceland, Icelandair, has today announced the closure of its operations on the global passenger network of ASJE International Airport.
Icelandair is today closing all three of its services that linked Reykjavik, Iceland and ASJE International Airport with transit stops in the American cities of Portland (Oregon) and Seattle, as well as Vancouver, Canada, while all being utilised by Boeing 757-200s.
Icelandair began its passenger services to ASJE International Airport with Boeing 757-200s in December 2018 and operated its final service with the type on September 18, 2025. The closure of these services not only removes Icelandair from ASJE International Airport's network, but also removes Portland (Oregon), United States as a destination. As well as being the end of an era for ASJE International Airport's passenger operations of the Boeing 757-200 narrowbody.
